The influence of subclinical mastitis on the protein composition and protease activities of raw milk from lactating Thai-crossbred dairy cows

چکیده
Background and Aim: Mastitis in dairy cattle is associated with a high rate of morbidity death, which has major implications for milk production quality. This study aimed to investigate the protein component activity matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) -9 (MMP-9) raw samples different testing scores determined using California mastitis test (CMT). Materials Methods: Thirty cows were employed study, from each quarter was tested subclinical (SCM). According results CMT, classified into five categories: Healthy (score 0), trace T), weakly positive 1), distinctly 2), strongly 3) somatic cell count (SCC). The total analyzed Bio-Rad assay, composition sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis technique. In addition, gelatin zymography used evaluate changes proteolytic abilities. Results: Milk CMT 1 3 had highest levels (32.25 ± 12.60 g/L 32.50 7.67 g/L, respectively), while healthy (CMT score 0) only 6.75 1.64 g/L. Globulin lactoferrin significantly increased compared those other scores. bovine serum albumin level 2 (p < 0.05) higher than No significant differences casein abundance found among Results analysis activities demonstrated that MMP-9 Conclusion: content gelatinolytic drastically altered by number SCC, mainly due SCM. Keywords: protein, protease activity, mastitis, Thai-crossbred cows.

The effect of subclinical mastitis on milk composition in dairy cows
Milk samples were collected from quarters of 35 cows with subclinical mastitis (California mastitis test [CMT] positive and somatic cell counts [SCC] >500,000 cells/ml in individual quarter foremilk), as well as from 37 healthy controls. Compared to the levels observed in milk from healthy quarters, milk from quarters with subclinical mastitis showed elevated sodium (91.97 vs 52.93 mg/dl), chlo...

Influence of Dietary Energy and Protein Intake on Yield and Composition of Milk in Crossbred Dairy Cows
The study was carried out on 120 crossbred Holstein × Shahiwal dairy cows for a period of 150 days to quantify the influence of dietary energy and protein intake on yield and composition of milk. Total 12 dairy farms having similar housing systems and holding at least 20 dairy cows in between mid to late lactation were selected for study purposes. The farms were located in the peri-urban and ur...

Total 12 dairy farms having same housing systems and holding at least 20 crossbred dairy cows per farm between mid to late lactation were selected for this study purposes. BCS of i...
متن کاملFractionized milk composition in dairy cows with subclinical mastitis
Mastitis is the inflammatory reaction of the udder to invading pathogens. One of the most apparent reactions is the increased influx of immunoreactive cells from blood into milk inducing a dramatic increase of milk somatic cell counts (SCC). We have investigated (i) the relationship between log SCC/ml in infected quarters being >6 (n = 8, group I) or varying between 5.4 and 6 (n = 8, group II) ...
